    Wood-kiln Construction

We are in the process of building a large wood-fired kiln.  The kiln site is located behind our Rooted in Clay Studio in Rindge, situated in an extensive stone foundation.  We will continue to post images as work on the kiln progresses.

The wood-kiln will consist of two catenary arch chambers.  The first chamber will be mostly firebox area with a small ware platform.  The second chamber will contain a small fire box and a large stacking space for the pottery.
